The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program provides students the opportunity to develop foundational knowledge and skills required for the ethical practice of social work. The curriculum emphasizes course work that enhances self-awareness and increases understanding of personal values.

The overarching goal of this program is to provide students with a core knowledge base in human behavior theory, research methods, and social welfare policy in preparation for graduate study or a career in social work.

Goals of this program also include:

  • Promoting understanding of the social work perspective related to individuals, groups, and communities.
  • Integrating healthy professional boundaries and best ethical practices while preparing for entry-level social work practice with diverse systems across the globe.
  • Demonstrating professional helping skills within the classroom and apply the skills within a professional environment.
